I had to tell Abigail the other day that her snake, Sandy (a sand boa) was gone.

Sandy was being snake-sat by some friends while we transition from Dallas back to OKC, and during Memorial Day weekend they went out of town. While they were gone, there were people (teenagers) coming to their house to take care of their dogs and someone either released him, or stole him. I've known since the Monday following spring break, but put off telling Abby for almost a week. She was heartbroken! It took about an hour (and a couple hits of albuterol) to calm her down. She's better now, but still upset. I don't understand why people would do this! My daughters love their snakes, and I figured they would have these pets for many years to come.....
Abigail has been given permission to get whatever she wants to "replace" Sandy, so it looks like she'll be shopping at the OKC Herp Show...
