This species tends to be very defensive, and is not a very handleable snake, but it makes for a great display animal. I am by no means an expert on this species (as I have not even had mine for a full year yet). This is a snake found in S.E. Asia. It is an arboreal species, and needs a warm and humid enclosure(Around 75-85 F, and 80-90% humidity). They typically max out in length at 7ft (females typically being longer). They seem to be very prone to parasites, so it is better to get a CBB snake over a wild caught. Most Red Tailed Green Rat Snakes available are wild caught adults. These tend to carry heavy loads of parasites. I have a CBB yearling, and I house it in a 20 gallon long tank, but I am in the process of constructing a larger enclosure measuring: 42''x18''x31''. They are perfect if you enjoy large and beautiful snakes with attitude!

This is the setup I am using in the 20 gallon long tank.

They not only have a beautiful leaf green color, but their tongues are bright blue and black!
